Sozopol offers to its guests rich history, medieval architecture, excellent relaxation conditions. But the landmarks and interesting places, that one can explore are not only in town limits. In the immediate vicinity of Sozopol, are placed numerous interesting cultural and natural sights:
The Islands
Island St. Ivan is the biggest from all 5 islands in Bulgarian territorial waters of Black Sea. We recommend you a day trip with picnic on the island, one of the various attractions offered here.
Just next to St Ivan Island is located its smaller "brother" Island St. Peter
The third Island is named St. Kirik and nowadays is connected to the town via breakwater. This way the bay where the port of Sozopol is located is always calm and safe.
